An artfully curated behind-the-scenes “In The Park After Dark” mindful meal and nature immersion experience to support building the worlds’ 1st Mindful Pocket Park at Patch of Heaven Sanctuary presented by WeONEMiami, a Leadership Miami program from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Join Leadership Miami’s WeOneMiami fundraising event and spend an evening at one of South Florida’s best kept secrets, a 20 acre forest & nature preserve, Patch of Heaven Sanctuary, as we raise funds to create a brand new project highlighting how neuroscience meets Nature, called The Mindful Pocket Park. Set in an old growth Florida hammock forest, the sacred and soothing spaces of zen gardens, flowing fountains, aquifer ponds, lotus lagoons, butterfly house and horse stables include a “forest dwelling” originally owned by the Matheson family, founders of Key Biscayne. You’ll feel as though you’ve traveled to Bali without ever getting on a plane.

On Saturday, November 12th from 9am to 4pm on both days, we will be digging deep and getting our hands dirty as we plant vegetation and greenery for the five different sensory experience gardens that will make up the Pocket Park.
We’ll be working in shifts of 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm, with a catered lunch at 12noon. When you’re not planting, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy at your leisure the beautiful 20 acres of Patch of Heaven’s natural reserve.
We’re planning to live stream parts of the gardening day and will send out a link for you to share with your friends and family in the coming days so they can see how hard you’re working. We’re also raising money to support the Mindful Pocket Park. Although absolutely not necessary to participate in the Plant-A-Thon, we would appreciate it immensely if you shared our website and donation page with your friends. Tell them to tag you in the donation message area so we know who to thank later.
Space is limited. Preregistration is necessary to gain access to Patch of Heaven Sanctuary.

WEONEMIAMI will meet prominent Miami community leaders in a Shark Tank-style faceoff as we compete with other Leadership Miami teams to secure a generous donation of $2,500 towards our $50,000 goal.
